So what are Persuasive Essays? This is a type of an essay where a writer writes about his/her opinion and persuades the reader to agree with aforementioned idea/opinion. This type of essay is included in the Academic Essays and another name for this format is also known as the Argument Essay.

There is also another thing that must be kept in mind about Persuasive Essays; it's not a comparison between two subjects, rather it's just one subject and the writer is defining its major points; and telling the audience that what action should be executed.
An example can be given like this:

Students need to learn how to write structured essays designed to inform and convince their teachers and professors. But how do you transform a creative, non-linear thinker like Johnny into an organized and persuasive writer? Take the mystery out of essays by replacing the confusing terminology of thesis statements, topic sentences, concrete details, and commentary with simple numerical values that reflect the hierarchy of effective essay structure.
For example, assign a "1" to introductory strategies, a "2" to the thesis statement, a "3" to the topic sentence, a "4" to the concrete detail, a "5" to the commentary, and a "6" to the conclusion strategies. Telling a student that a "5" is needed to support a "4," which supports a "3" is much more intuitive-and students get it!

Persuasive Essays can be considered an essay where a person writes down his/her opinion and tries to make the reader accept that his idea is agreeable, but they can't just be written blatantly, this essay format requires logic, facts, figures, authentic resources and if possible, by quoting works from experts. The biggest example that can be given was during Cold War between 1947-1990 where a huge debate was running around the globe that whether Communism is better or Democracy.

For the Persuasive essays to be written, the writer must know the audience and confirm that how the audience feels towards the particular subject i.e. favorable or hostility. Also the topic must have some strong points to support you persuasion and it should be written in a style that can grab and hold the audience's attention.
As already mentioned above, Persuasive Essay is included in the Academic Essay Writing format, it can be written at all levels of academic knowledge, starting from 4th grade class to university level. The point of this essay writing is to teach them on how to persuade the person to either agree or disagree with your opinion backed with tangible facts and figures.
So have I persuaded enough for an agreement?
